You can’t deny the fact that it’s been a while since you’ve heard songs from one of our albums. The fact that this is the first time you’re hearing anything from us since we released our first album, Deathstar, in 2013, is pretty exciting. We’ve been putting out new tracks a lot lately, and we couldn’t be more excited to share those with you.
We are excited to have you on our new album as well. We are now working with a new label, Youngblood Records, who is releasing a lot of new music this year. The album will be out on June 16th.
The song we are most excited about is called “Toni Braxton,” and it’s from our new album, “Deathstar.” It is the second single off of the album.
Toni Braxton was a great song in our single “Shine”, so we were eager to record a follow up with her on the album. It’s also one of our most well known songs, so we felt it would be fitting to use it on a new album. It definitely feels brand new though.
I don’t know how old Toni Braxton is, but she’s probably in her 30s now, which seems to make her a little more accessible than many older people. However, we don’t want to give away too much of the song, so we’ll go ahead and say that she’s in a bad place right now.
We did a few more songs back that way, but we also added some more songs for the new album. It would be nice to see her sing the new song off the album, so that we can get her into the mix.
My god, she has a new baby, so they can call it “Baby.
I’m not sure about the new album, but we’ve seen Toni Braxton sing some songs off the album, so there’s that. However, for the album opener, she sang her “Falling into You” back when she was still in her 30s, and it made me think that maybe she is the most vulnerable of the current crop of female singers. Now I’m not totally sure why, but that song makes me feel like Toni was born to sing those lyrics.
